THE BAGS

What are the bags made of?

Our bags are made from a recycled vegan leather. No animal materials, anywhere.

The outer is 55% recycled content — mostly recycled polyester and recycled polyurethane — with the rest made up of polyurethane, calcium carbonate and wood fibre. The interlining and the detachable inner bag are 100% certified organic cotton.

It's a synthetic, not a leather. We use the term "vegan leather" to describe how it looks and feels, not what it's made from.

Where are the bags made?

Our bags are ethically handmade in China.

How do I care for my bag?

Store it stuffed and upright in its dust bag, away from direct sun and heat. Wipe it with a soft dry or barely damp cloth. Don't machine wash, soak, iron, or use solvent or alcohol-based cleaners.

The inner cotton bag comes out and can be spot cleaned on its own.

Be a little careful with dark denim and dyed fabrics on lighter bags, as colour can transfer.

Will my bag look exactly like the photos?

Close, but not identical. Because the material is finished in batches, small variations in grain, texture and tone are normal. Screens vary too.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Every bag is covered for 12 months against defects in materials and workmanship — stitching, hardware, strap attachments and lining seams. Ordinary wear and tear isn't covered. Full details are in our Returns & Exchanges Policy.

Can I get a signed copy?

Yes. On request. And at events.

Do you ship books internationally?

Yes. Shipping is charged based on destination.

Is there an ebook or audiobook?

It is coming soon.

I'd like copies for my school, workshop or team.

We do bulk and school orders. Email us at hello@kindrebel.com and tell us how many you need and when.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Where do you ship from?

Everything ships from Melbourne's west, on Wurundjeri land.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. International customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes, which are set by your country and aren't included in our prices.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Not at this point.

RETURNS

How do I return or exchange something?

Within 14 days of delivery, email us at hello@kindrebel.com with your order number and we'll send you a return number and address. Items need to come back unused, with tags attached and the dust bag included.

Who pays for return postage?

You do, unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong one. We recommend a traceable service.

COLLABORATIONS & BULK ORDERS

Can my organisation order in bulk?

Yes. We work with organisations, councils, schools, community groups and businesses on bulk orders of our existing range, and on custom pieces made to brief. Common requests include corporate gifting, conference and event bags, staff or volunteer merchandise, and speaker gifts.

Email us at hello@kindrebel.com with what you have in mind, roughly how many you need, and your timeframe. We'll come back to you with options and pricing. Minimum quantities apply.

Can we work with you on a custom design?

We do. Depending on the project, that can mean adapting an existing style in your colours, adding your branding, or designing something new with you. Custom runs have minimum quantities and longer lead times — 3-6 months from brief to delivery — so the earlier you get in touch, the more we can do.

We'd like to collaborate on something else.

We're open to it. If you're a council, community organisation, festival or brand with a project in mind — a collaboration, a workshop, a campaign, a co-designed piece — tell us about it at hello@kindrebel.com and we'll go from there.

We're selective about who we work with and take on a small number of projects each year.
