Kind Rebel x Gary V

Kind Rebel x Gary V

September 2023 will undoubtedly go down as one of the most pivotal and defining chapters in the early journey of Kind Rebel previously known as Shér & Seo. It marked not just the birth of a brand, but also my personal leap into the global entrepreneurial world.

The month began with the official launch of Shér & Seo on September 8—a moment that came with both nerves and excitement. The warmth, encouragement, and support we received from the community—locally and globally—was overwhelming. Our first sales came from Melbourne and Sydney, which in itself was a surreal moment. But what truly sent us dancing (in our minds at least) was receiving our very first international order—from the beautiful country of France. That order came in on a quiet Melbourne evening, and suddenly, the world felt a whole lot smaller.

But September wasn’t just about sales. It was about moments that affirmed why this journey matters. One of those highlights was presenting our very first bag to Gary Vee for his partner, Mona Vand. To hear Gary express pride in our hustle and ask his assistant to personally look after the bag—it was a reminder to keep pushing. This special moment happened after I spoke at the Margaret Court Arena in front of thousands—sharing a piece of my journey as both a creative and entrepreneur. I made @garyvee laugh, and so my life was made, and after my speech, he said "come here, I am so proud of you"!

Some of the takeaways were “Regardless of what you’re trying to accomplish you’ve got to tell the world about it.”
“Skills are cheap. Passion is priceless.” And “No matter what you do, your job is to tell your story.”

Another major milestone was graduating from the Business Accelerator program at iGen—an experience that sharpened my skills and gave me tools I’ll carry forward in all future ventures.

And then came GEC 2023—The Global Entrepreneurship Congress. As the founder of Kind Rebel, I was honoured to be part of this global event held for the first time in Oceania. Ministers, government leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs from over 123 countries gathered, and I had the incredible opportunity to introduce my ideas, test early business concepts, and connect with inspiring people from across the world. It was here that I also formally introduced Shér & Seo—our first product line and bag business—planting the seeds for potential global partnerships.

I was even invited to a beautiful dinner hosted by the Hong Kong delegation, where I shared the story behind Shér & Seo with new friends and future collaborators. GEC inspired us to consider export markets and dream beyond borders—though we know there’s still plenty of work ahead.

As we say goodbye to September, I do so with deep gratitude. Every order, every handshake, every conversation, and every lesson has helped shape both Kind Rebel and Shér & Seo. And I’m just getting started.

Here’s to creating, connecting, and continuing the journey—with kind rebellion.
